- A:To replace the blower motor resistor or power module, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Then, remove the lower instrument panel insulator. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the blower motor resistor or power module. Remove the mounting screws and take it out of the housing. To install, simply reverse the removal process. For the blower motor, begin by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal and removing the lower instrument panel insulator. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor, remove the mounting screws, and lower the blower motor out of the housing.
