- A:Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 engines, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAP sensor located on the front of the intake manifold. Remove the MAP sensor mounting screw and take out the MAP sensor from the intake manifold. Inspect the MAP sensor O-ring for any damage and replace if necessary. For 3.6L V6 and Hemi engines, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAP sensor by sliding the release lock away from the sensor, depressing the release tab, and pulling off the connector. Remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold by rotating it counterclockwise and inspect the O-ring for cracks. Remove the old O-ring and replace if damaged. To install the MAP sensor, place it in position, insert it into the mounting hole in the intake manifold, and turn it clockwise.
