- Q:How should the upstream oxygen sensor be replaced for the 2003 Chrysler Town & Country? Posted by Customer
- A:The upstream oxygen sensor is located on top of the exhaust manifold for 2.4L four-cylinder engines and on top of the rear exhaust manifold for 3.3L/3.8L V6 engines. The electrical lead should be traced and disconnected from the upstream oxygen sensor, and then the sensor can be unscrewed using a special oxygen sensor socket. After removing the old sensor, the threads of the sensor bore in the exhaust manifold should be cleaned. If reusing the old sensor, anti-seize compound should be applied to the threads for future removal. If installing a new sensor, anti-seize compound is not necessary as the threads already have it. The upstream oxygen sensor should be installed and tightened securely.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
