- A:Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the air filter housing and intake duct. Remove the throttle body. Remove the starter mounting bolts. Push the starter under the intake manifold, position the starter to face the nose downward, then pull the starter up and out enough to access the electrical connections.
