If the oil cooler is to be removed, the following procedure must be followed, First, unbend the negative terminal of the battery and, second, drain the coolant. Then, it's time to deal with the lower intake manifold being taken out and then the oil cooler mounting fasteners , screws and bolts have to be unscrewed and the cooler should be removed, while the seals has to be disposed. Installation starts with putting on new seals on the oil cooler; thereafter, place the cooler in its rightful place on the block and fasten it with the two screws on the oil cooler. Following that the mounting bolts have to be fitted and all the bolts are to be torqued to a particular setting. Last of all, replace the other components in a backward way, replace the coolant, start the engine and let it warm up while checking for any signs of leakage.
