    Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector from the CMP sensor. Remove the CMP sensor mounting bolt and take out the CMP sensor. If you're reinstalling the old CMP sensor, scrape off the old spacer and install a new paper spacer. If you're installing a new CMP sensor, it will come with a new paper spacer.

Check the O-ring for damage and apply engine oil before reinstalling the sensor. The remaining installation steps are the reverse of removal.
