What Steps Should You Follow to Replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on Jeep Grand Cherokee? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, start by partially draining the cooling system. Then, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For 2016 and later 3.6L V6 engines, remove the air filter housing and disconnect the electrical connector from the coolant temperature sensor.

    Q:
What is the installation procedure for the Coolant Temperature Sensor for the 2014 Dodge Avenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the remote ground terminal or battery. Drain the engine coolant to a point lower than that of the sensor. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor, then unscrew the sensor. Before installing a threaded ECT sensor, wrap the threads of the sensor with Teflon tape to prevent coolant leakage. Installation is otherwise the reverse of removal. Tighten threaded ECT sensors to the torque. Refill the cooling system.
