- A:Start by disconnecting the cable(s) from the negative battery terminal(s). For the 3.6L V6 engine, remove the intake manifolds and then disconnect the electrical connector(s) before removing the sensor(s) mounting bolt(s). For the 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 engines, remove the intake manifold and then disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector located at the rear of the engine, behind the intake manifold. For HEMI engines, raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on jackstands. Disconnect the electrical connector from the knock sensor and remove the knock sensor mounting bolt. Finally, install the knock sensor(s) by reversing the removal process and tightening the mounting bolts.Posted by MoparPartsGiant Specialist
