- A:The Intake Manifold Temperature sensor must be installed with the correct orientation to the air duct in order to function properly. The Intake Manifold Temperature sensor is located on the air inlet ducting. Unlock the retainers for the fresh air inlet duct then remove the fresh air inlet duct from air filter housing. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Intake Manifold Temperature sensor. To remove the sensor, twist it counterclockwise and pull it from the duct. Remove the sensor by turning it 1/4-turn counterclockwise and pulling it out. Inspect the condition of the sensor O-ring. If it is cracked, torn or otherwise deteriorated, replace it.
